This web site is NOT an official Monash web site. The opinions on this web site are those of the web site authors and contributors.
This
web site has been created to allow students to air their opinions and views
on issues at Monash University. As some may know the previous version of
this web site tended to be a bit negative. We would like students to promote
the positives of Monash such as the great library, the grounds, the inter-campus
shuttle bus, free internet access, some of the entertaining and educational
academic staff, the Union building and other good things about Monash.
We encourage positive comment, helpful tips and useful information.
At
the same time we acknowledge that there is much that needs improving at
Monash and thus expect some comments about the many problems associated
with being a student at Monash. There are many things about Monash that
are not good. Some we can try to improve, some seem to be impossible to
improve. In some cases persistent problems that seem simple to fix are
just not fixed. In our opinion many of these problems are not fixed more
due to laziness, unwillingness to change the status quo, ego problems with
some staff and a �they�re just students� attitude on the part of some staff
members.
This
page is being written by people who are fed up with the incompetence displayed
by some (not all) of the academic and administration staff of Monash University.
It is written by international students who are fed up with the blatant
racist treatment afforded us. We don�t expect
Monash to be perfect but we believe that it can be a lot better than it
is. We also believe that we do not always get value for money, particularly
the international students. Finally, we find
that there does not seem to be a clear cut and unbiased way of dealing
with the genuine problems that we have.
This web site is not intended to promote violence. It is intended to allow students to voice their opinions against the oppressive regime that is Monash university today.
